Using that plastic tarp to slide it off a work table that is level w/the back of the car would probably slide fairly easily.

I have an old electric impact I use mostly for removing wheel nuts, works pretty good, has a fair amount of oomph, but not as good as an air one.
IIRC the one I have is Makita brand, at least 25 yrs...

As the ring heats up it expands and closes the gap, therefore no unworn spot. Methinks it would need to have a very big gap to leave an unworn spot at the top of the cylinder.

It looks like the woodblock street in Sydney has the grain of the wood horizontal, when I was a kid in Winnipeg, circa 1954, I remember seeing a street of wood blocks that had the grain vertical....

In the 1950s, when we used Model As as daily drivers, in the cold weather the bendixs would hang up like that, when the engine was warm no problem. The solution was when shutting the car down to...

What all do these engine analyzers analyze? I see on Merc Cruiser's picture of his Sears engine analyzer there is: RPM, dwell, points (good, bad, open), volts. Anything else?

The way I understand it is that the customer asked for however many gallons he wanted, the attendant pumped that many gallons up into the glass tank and then dispensed it into the customers tank.

That's on a non-running engine, a running engine will draw less due the time between when the points are closed and when they are open.
