Re: Model T gas tank?
My racer's is on the back deck, and it's still gravity flow. Before I put it on the road will probably raise the tank a bit. No doubt some of the grades around here are steeper than the angle from...

Re: Model T gas tank?
Prior to '26, Model T gas tanks were under the front seat unless modified to otherwise.
In '26 and '27, the gas tank was typically in the cowl.

Re: Reeds Rat Rods
Typically a T's number will be found on the left-hand side of the block.
My '25 T hot rod has a number stamped into its frame, probably the only way to get it registered when it was first built....

Re: BP Gasoline and Ethanol
We dodged the mandatory ethanol or oxygenated (content-standard) fuel here in Alabama 'til 2005.
In 1998, the corporate and EPA weenies got checked at our door -- they didn't anticipate us...

Re: Should I buy a Model A or T ????
During my one and only drive of this car, I ran it just over midway through the 12 different ratios (high-direct-high). I never did throttle it up, and the car was scary fast. The restorer who was...

Re: Should I buy a Model A or T ????
I have driven my '20 T once, and it was a monster!
The seller said he remembered his father building (rebuilding?) the car about 1950, but rarely ever driving it. The seller did get it out on an...

Re: 8BA, pops and backfires but no start.
My 59Y suffered the same problems for a long, long time; popping, sputtering, backfiring... I chased the darned problem for more than six months, still driving the car. Cops, kids, dogs, cats, cows...

Re: Engine troubles
A few months ago the blow-by in my '48 59Y (Mercury crank, dual strombergs, mild cam) got to be too much -- causing a big mess.
#7 was running 70 PSI and all the others 120. Pulled #7 to find...

I have had problems with the...
