Thank you. Mine are 3/8-16 square. Didn’t know you had them. I have an old parts list from Roy and didn’t see them in there. I’ll give you a call tomorrow.

Starter pole shoe screws
What size is the square hole in the pole shoe screws on the starter? I know the later ones are larger than the earlier ones. Mine has a 3/8” thread size compared to the later 7/16”. I have the tool...

Old Gaskets
I have numerous old water pump kits and the gaskets shrunk over the years. Is there any cure for them or just use new. I hate to toss them out if theres a cure for them.

That cooling system is an open system therefore it can not build any pressure not even with a pressure cap. The overflow tube comes Right out of the top tank .Skip the water pump guy has an in-line 4...

Paint the buckets white. A 32 Ford headlight bulb will plug right into the socket. Gives you. Bright lights. The down side is that you’ll need to put a relay in the circuit to keep from burning out...

My 40 done about the same thing about 25 years ago. Turned out to be the pilot bearing on the rear of the pinion gear had come apart and the rollers were getting caught up in the ring and pinion gear.
