Thanks for the info. It does makes sense that the foot button allows the starter to crank and the key energizes the coil.

Thanks all for the advice. No holes have ever been drilled in the fire wall, just the "dimples" to mark the location. The engine # doesn't indicate that it could be a Canadian body either.

Model A Data Plate
I have '30 Roadster that does not have a data plate mounted on the fire wall and doesn't appear to have ever had one mounted, no holes in the fire wall. Is this normal?
