I have used Fastenal many times with no issues. Parts must be on a pallet.
The best part is that the buyer pays the freight when picked up...seller just drops the pallet off at the local Fastenal...

just FYI...
The former MARC tech advisor ran his '30 Model A on straight 100% STP in the transmission and the rear end for over 50,000 miles. No issues and when checked he stated the STP was a honey...

I've got an Optima 6v dated 2014 that reads 6.8v on my HF digital charger/ maintainer ($26) and the battery cranks just fine.
I also have a 2016 date Optima 6v that reads 6.8, no issues.

#2 post Ruth has it right...the thread is 1/8" pipe thread, and it will keep the oil pump in place instead of dropping it on your head.
A great little gadget to have in your arsenal.

I have used the HF digital charger ($24 on sale) for 10 years now. It will work on 6v and 12v batteries...Optima or the common acid batteries.
I use it on my 12v riding mower, and Optima 6v on 2...

please at the very least, keep these parts under cover...indoors if possible.
Otherwise you may find your worn parts go to a zero value and useable parts end up as scrap value.

the 30-31 roadster standard irons are hollow with wood top bows.
the 30-31 roadster deluxe irons are strap steel, chrome plated with wood top bows.
there was no deluxe...

I also have used the Harbor Freight charger pictured with BillCNC and Mercman for about 3 years now. Works great and shows you the charge level.
Paid about $25 for it...watch for a sale.
