Re: W&H DuCoil V12 conversion
I have a W&H Ducoil distributor, it is packed up and I don't have access to it at the moment. I will get it out this week and take a couple of pics.

Re: Removing Rust from the Block
Here is a link to a thread that I started on the H.A.M.B. This process worked for me, and is a lot cheaper than the commercial products. One other thing, this solution is NOT, I repeat, NOT an acid....

Re: Removing Rust from the Block
Hello, I started a thread on the H.A.M.B. sometime ago regarding rust removal using the chemical process "chelation". It is safe and effective, several people responded stating that it is an acid,...

Re: Updated oil filter system
In addition to an engine oil filter, while you have the engine apart for a rebuild, you may want to consider a HIDDEN PCV system for you engine. Here is a link to a thread I started sometime ago....

Re: Updated oil filter system
I agree with the others, a by-pass system will filter out a smaller particulate, and will eventually filter all the oil.

Re: Frenzel
I think the Frenzel is cool as can be, sometime ago I looked into purchasing one. If I remember correctly they were priced around $10,000.00, there is also one being made in the states. My biggest...

Re: Important Warning to all
A few years ago, a friend of mine, Dave, happened upon a car/deer collision. When the cops showed up, Dave asked the cop if he could put the animal out of it's misery. The cop said yes, Dave took his...

Re: Flathead Ford valve train questions
Pete, just to be clear, the hollow lifters (pictured below) are not appropriate for a mild street engine application. I always thought the lighter weight would be a benefit. I'm always interested in...

Flathead Ford valve train questions
Hello, I took a "59" block to the machine shop recently along with some new internal components, among the supplied parts were a set of N.O.S. Ford hollow lifters. I'm a little gun shy of the current...

Re: A source for exterior body moldings...
If you cannot find a N.O.S. replacement part, I believe that I can restore your original part to a flawless finish. Please see a example of my work, it is a '36 & '37 Lincoln Zephyr hubcap, I don't...

Re: Flathead V8 Radiator ID
I believe that would indicate a 1937 Ford truck with a 221 c.i. engine. I upgraded my '37 1/2 ton to a '38-'42 V-8 and I would have been thrilled to have had that radiator. I started with atop and...

Re: Flathead V8 Radiator ID
Looks like a '37 Ford truck V-8 radiator. There should be a number embossed on the right hand side, top tank, on the fan side of the radiator. 1937 Ford 1/2 ton V-8 truck was embossed with "77", I...

Re: Oil Drain Plug Gasket
I have used copper and fiber, but my drain plug gasket of choice is leather. These are machine cut, and fit snug in the recess of the drain plug. No leaks.

Re: engine swap 60hp flattie to 85or 125 flattie
Yes, everything from the radiator to the ring and pinion is specific to a "60". I know, I did it to my '37 1/2, It was a lot of work but worth it. I also added a Columbia and hydraulic brakes....
