Hi Wayne, the car in my avatar is going to remain stock other than the 35 wheels. My coupe has already been turned into a hot rod before I bought it so it will remain a hot rod.

Are the doors on a 1928 special coupe and 1928-29 tudor sedan the same?

My coupe doors are 29 1/4" wide. A few times when I have seen 28-29 doors for sale they are advertised as coupe/sedan...

My Model A sat for at least 20 years before I bought it. All my valves were seized, the cam would open the valves but the valve spring wouldn't close them. A compression test would be a good idea.

Here is the patch panel I made on the left, the originals in the middle and the reproduction on the right. I think the bead I made is closer to the original. I just played with the dies that come...

I also use a shrinking tip on my stud gun, that works really well for me. I have also had good luck with the shrinking disk but it is slow.

The metal as to be super clean and the joints should be tight, it's hard to fill gaps with a TIG. The welds are soft so you are able to hammer and dolly the welds with out cracking. I have Miller 200...
