Would anyone know of a source of Ford ignition parts located on Long Island?
I have flat head V-8 (1939-ish) and I need a set of points and condenser and
other ignition parts.

Radiator Syphon

I have a 1935 Ford with the 221 engine. What causes the radiator to syphon to the overflow tube when the engine reaches normal temperature?

Generator question

My Generator stopped charging. I removed the band and all I see is minute droplets of solder thrown around inside housing. I guess this indicated failure of the armature. Am I correct? Thanks

Well I finally got the job complete. I did lower the tank, then placed a stretched hose ( used a soda bottle and warmed with a heat gun) on the filler pipe. Then placed Vaseline inside the other end...

Thanks, One question? Did you use the entire 6 inch length of hose or did you cut it shorter. I cut mine to about three inches. Going to give it another try later this week. Thankks
