Re: 1932 The Deuce, Dually, Dump Truck

That's some nice looking maple syrup! Reminds me when I was younger, my dad figured it would be a good idea to tap this maple tree we had in the back yard. We collected the sap and processed it, it...

Re: Mouse smell

Once all cleaned out with a cleaner of choice, there's a product called "Nilodor" that will get rid of the smell. Comes in a little bottle of concentrate, use a few drops in a spray bottle of water...

Re: Mounting ‘Tubman’ condenser on dome distributor

If it was me, I'd just find or buy a piece of flat stock. Drill a hole, bend to shape or vise versa and your good to go. Either that or get one with the insulation and remove the insulation.

Re: Canadian GL4 140 gear oil

Napa in Canada can't get some of the same products offered in the USA. The part number pulls nothing up and searching shows nothing in there system. Just my experience with Napa in BC, maybe Alberta...

Re: Canadian GL4 140 gear oil

I've had no such luck in BC. Everything I can find available is GL5 even if it says GL4. Sometimes sta-lube gl4 can be ordered from Amazon.com but it's not always available for shipping to Canada. I...

Here is a link to some Canadian serial number decoding. C18S is on the chart but doesn't correlate with the correct year if I'm reading it right. The write up below explains about lack of...

Re: Question on flathead oil canister filter housing

Did a little researching and some reading, defies logic but makes sense. The small hole will reduce flow and pressure in the canister when installed on inlet side, interesting.

Re: Question on flathead oil canister filter housing

If the center tube in the filter canister that goes thru the middle of the filter and is connected to the return line has this 1/16th hole, is that not the essential flow restrictor? Leaving the only...

Re: 42-48 Pass Steering gear oil retainer

Now that you got me thinking about it, you don't need to remove the box. I've read and been told when removing a shim to adjust the pre load to be very careful not to pull the end plate away to far,...

Re: 42-48 Pass Steering gear oil retainer

You will want to remove the steering box from the cat to do the repair. Here is a thread showing the fix, there are others out there as well. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, pretty sure the steering...

Re: Correct gauge wire

I'm going away from the cloth wire to plastic coated, originality is not huge on the list.... would you recommended adding a fuse for the heck of it or leave it out?

Re: Correct gauge wire

Should I be adding a fuse to this wire? It goes from starter solenoid, looped thru ammeter and to starter switch. Any accessory lights I have run direct from the battery thru a fuse and a relay.
