Re: 49-51 wagon hitch

No afraid not. The straight one that I found replaced the ones with a hole in them.

Re: 49-51 wagon hitch

You certainly do not want to use an era type hitch. I have two rear 1949-51 Ford Station wagon rear bumpers with nice looking bolts through the center section of the rear bumper that held the style...

Re: 35/36 Pickup Seat Base

I thought the metal plate was to keep the holes in the wood from elongating over time. The seat is for a commercial vehicle and would get some abuse.

Re: 35/36 Pickup Seat Base

Re: Anyone else getting a pop up add after the first time they log on?

I believe we all are also -- saved from logging in every time.
Yes -- a popup ad of a beach with a lady play with sand on the beach.

Re: 1949 Ford F1 oil cap

The pictures show the correct style cap.
It slides down the filler tube as the filler tube has a bump that the notch fits over. I have never seen a screw on one -- that is current production style...

Re: '35 Inner Fender question

The hood side panel once latched in place has those rubber bumpers.
You are looking for part number 48-16761
There are two rubber bumpers per side along with rubber corners for the bottom of the...

Re: uncanny stories

I started my work life as 3rd shift mailroom trainee. Over the years when the work was done you could sit around and relax. Well, one night I brought in an issue of Hemmings Motor News and before...

Re: 33-34 restoration guide.

No complaints about the effort that goes into making one of these books happen.............I would just like to add that Gene Napoliello worked hard (with help from Don Rogers) and took over when...

Re: 35/36 Pickup Seat Base

You should note that while you did purchase it from LeBaron & Bonney, there needs to be inserts cut in the wood where the hinges and adjustment plate goes. This is so that the metal of the hinge and...

Re: 1936 ford pick up floor mat

Try contacting Third Gen Automotive.
They show a pickup floor mat without any holes, so you will have to do some cutting.
But, you are correct, floor mats for the 1935-1936 pickup are very rare. ...

Re: 1935 Pickup spare tire holder

Here is what the main bracket looks like that attaches through the running board and box.
There is a sleeve that covers the bolt that goes into the box.
This is on a 1936 Ford Pickup.

Re: Hershey Stats

Ronnieroadster,
Please remember that a large chunk of that money does not go to the Hershey Region of the AACA.
The chocolate people get more than half.

Since 1982 I have had the pleasure of attending the AACA Fall National Meet. I started as a novice in 1982 and being from the midwest was stunned by some of the prices. My buddy sat me down at that...

Re: '35 Spare Tire Lock

I'm going to mention that I do not believe that the locking pins on the back of the cap are spring loaded. I believe that when the key turns the lock, that the pins rotate and that rotation causes...

And if you do get to Mission Beach --- make it for lunch and stop at the Coaster Bar --- yup, food, beverage and a real wooden roller coaster across the street.

Re: 1935-37 Ford Truck Fenders, Front&Rear

Yes, I agree with you that the price of fenders for trucks or pickups has gotten up there.

There is a set of rears on the Early Ford V-8 Club web site right now for a pickup. You mention truck....

Re: 1935 pickup hood

There should be a chrome piano hinge down the middle that was spot welded to the two top halfs.
The sides are attached with a steel rod that slides into the edges of the tops and sides.

The piano...
