Nice truck! What are those brackets on the front bumper for?

Re: BB truck and big truck wheel studs

Do you have photos of what you're looking for? I took 2 AA drums off hubs and those had nuts on the inside of the studs. I bellieve that the '34 front drums that I've seen also have the nuts.

Re: BB Tranny

As far as I know, an AA transmission will bolt up to a BB bellhousing. You could take the pedal shaft out (or cut it off) if you have to.

Re: Ford?

I would also agree with '34. They also have at least 1 rear inner lugnut on the right front wheel too.

Re: Running on 7 &1/2

I was also wondering if the higher octane fuel "ungummed" a valve.

Re: Remove Trans from 21 stud 36 flattie

I had the pleasure of removing a 4 speed from a 59ab where the clutch disc was stuck to the flywheel. I had to stick my hand through the inspection cover and remove the bolts that held the front...

Re: BB truck question

We have a few '34 full floating rear ends at my parents' house. I may be able to steal one from one of those if you can't find one.

Re: 31 AA rescue

The only drums you're going to find (as far as I know) would be used or NOS if you can locate them. I haven't seen any NEW manufacture of AA drums.

Re: 32 commercial truck steering box

I *think* the steering columns themselves are the same between 32-34 BB truck. David G is certainly more knowledgeable thna myself on that.

I believe the main difference between the pitman arms...

Re: 1935 Model 51 gas tank and radiator

I think we have a gas tank from a model 51 truck at my parents' house. I can grab photos next time I'm over there. I don't know what kind of shape the inside of the tank is. Shipping might also be...

Re: Model AA Buses produced?? Surviving??

My father, uncle and grandfather got an AA bus (what was left of it anyways) from a scrapyard that used it for hauling cars around in the scrapyard. We still have the chassis from it. I would have...

Re: 37 ton and a half tire options.

You can also look for 19.5" wheels from '70's dodge motorhomes. I have 2 of those on the rear of my '34 that are the same size as 6.50-20's. Now that I think of it, I can't out them on the inside...

Re: 37 ton and a half tire options.

I have 6.00-20 on the front and 6.50-20 on the rear of my '34 BB. I think 6.50's may rub the brake rods if I put them on the front.

Re: 33 pu steering column

2ndgeer,

The column drop in my '34 BB doesn't look like that. As far as I know, the steering column in the truck has never been removed.

Re: Bolt buster /induction heater

I like my bolt buster. It'll heat a flathead stud nut to red hot in 15 seconds. It takes a bit longer to heat up an inner dual nut for a 1.5 ton rear axle.

Re: 1934 Ford Pickup Radiator

We probably have a half dozen or so radiators for '34 trucks/ pickups, but I'm sure they all need to get re-cored.

Re: '32 Fire truck project in NV

David G,

This may be a silly question, but what is the difference between '32 and '33 or '34 truck fenders? As always, I value your input.

Re: '32 Fire truck project in NV

Shocker, the radiator cap is gone. That was probably the first thing to disappear. That would be a cool start.

Re: Split rim styles

Stu,

You are the man! I'm pretty sure the width matches the others, I will have to compare it. All of the wheels in the last post are the same early lug pattern.
