Re: Old wives tail about tires, true or not?
When I got my '93 it had old tires on it that were dry rotted, they still had plenty of tread though. The front passenger side tire blew out while just sitting under the carport. It split straight...

Re: 6 volt
I got it running, it needed the larger "00" cable, later I'll pick up a new battery and a "0" for the ground side. I appreciate all the help would have been frustrated more if I hadn't asked.

Re: 6 volt
I appreciate the replies, turns out the battery is older than I thought it was(4-5 years), so I'll bite the bullet and by a new one, it's not my battery anyways. The starter is brand new, I had to...

6 volt
It's not a ford or a vehicle so feel free to delete this if it is not permitted for any reason. I've got a farmall c I'm trying to get running, it's still a 6 volt system. The battery seems to be...

Re: How times have changed }}}}}
I agree with red, these vehicles are antiques now that are difficult to come by and not all of them have survived this far. I have no issues with someone hot rodding a modern vehicle nor would I...

Re: safety equipment
I'm in East Texas and as far as I know that law is generic throughout the states, I know that here if it didn't come with them then you don't have to have them.

Re: Be careful
Roads aren't really engineered for a certain speed, traffic flow and weight yes but speed no, except on the curves. There is also nothing wrong with high speed limits so long as the drivers actually...

Re: Be careful
I agree with straight pipes, if you can't run at least within 10mph of the speed limit stay off the interstate, especially at night. It's uncourteous to the other drivers as well as dangerous. Your...

Re: Not everyone likes old Fords.......
I went into a dealership a couple months ago to look at the new one tons and asked the salesman if you could get a PTO on the truck. He said he didn't know what a PTO was but you could get one on it.

Re: 1939 ford 91T truck project in OZ
I'm still learning about the trucks but on mine the lever on the gear shift is the reverse lockout (pull it up to put it in reverse) as Tinker said and pretty sure the other lever is for a PTO.

Re: Need this Tool Identified Please
Looks to me like a device for setting the angle of a saw's teeth as others have said. The reason for the adjustable part is for various widths/angles possibly.

I enjoy the British Top Gear far more than the American one. Also in the UK a trash can is a bin, and what we know of as soccer is football.
I remember talking to my Australian Uncle once, he said...

1932 BB Truck
I recently acquired a 1932 model BB truck as a restoration project. It's a flathead V8 and I believe it to be a 1 1/2 ton. This is my first project and I've done a little research but can't seem to...
