Re: Rear tube shocks for 46 woodie wagon.

Re: Rear door glass mech on 46 woody

Check the regulators to see if they have stops on them. Some windows do not roll all the way down and there are stops on the gears or arms that keep them from rolling all the way down. Perhaps that...

Re: led tail light bulbs

i have found that LED bulbs used with certain stock lenses don't always work. Tried this on my '48 and there was no difference. I finally went with the LED inserts which have their own lens from...

Re: Passenger window metal rail

You could tap it left or right, but keep in mind that the glass channel setting tape may not move with the channel.

Re: replaceing rear doorglass 37 ford

When I did my '40 fordor years ago i recall that i raised the window up a bit by hand and then was able to tip it 90 degrees. There is probably some difference between the rear doors on a '40 and the...

Re: replaceing rear doorglass 37 ford

Not sure if 37 is the same as a '40, but you need to first remove the window garnish molding. Second remove the door panel. You now have access to the window regulator bolts that hold the regulator...

Re: The Future of Our Vintage Fords?

Somehow we emerged from the ice age with no cars and no people. Explain that one? Take oil out of the equation and you then will do without a lot of stuff made from plastics. etc. start with your...

Re: 36 pickup seat bottom

Usually the springs have small metal tabs around the outer edge with small holes in the tabs for screws or tacks to go to the plywood. If the tabs are missing you can use the small nylon wire clamps...

Re: Vega steering box in a 40 Ford PU

Go with the "525" GM box. I used a Vega once in a '40 and would never use another one in a '35 on up car.

Re: Do you think there will be another V-8 National meet?

Michael , I should temper my comment a little and am not trying to discourage anyone from going. At this stage of my life I've seen everything I wanted to see in Dearborn and just don't have a need...

Re: Do you think there will be another V-8 National meet?

I believe that is not going to happen. It appears that they are going back to Dearborn. I believe that decision has been made by the BOD. Been to Dearborn 4 times and have no desire to return.

Re: Do you think there will be another V-8 National meet?

Re: 34 smoking starter switch from the newbie.

Hard to tell by the photo, but did the shaft extension on the switch rub through the insulation on the starter cable?

Re: 1940 Bellows

The bellows as you call it should be the same material as the seat.

Re: gas tank 1933 pickup

Shop around and buy a new tank. You'll be glad you did. Check with Tanks Inc. On e-Bay there are new tanks for your pickup from $250-$350. Would probably cost that much to fix your old tank if you...
