If you want to see how it is done, come look...

Re: Electric Fuel Pump

Try it on 6volts FIRST. If it works, use it. If not try 12 volts.

Re: Plugs and wires

I haven't checked NAPA lately but at one time you could get Packard brand #440 plug wire by the roll and bulk ends to do it yourself.

Re: Railroad Inspection Car

Those fenders and body sides got that way from de-railing and going in the ditch.
Don't ask me how that works.....lol

Re: Pre 1945 Block Cams

In the 50's I had a friend that was in charge of the tear down area in the official Ford rebuild facility of the Northwest. He said 6 out of 10 early flathead blocks they torn down needed crack...

Re: Pre 1945 Block Cams

The early blocks are a POOR choice for any rebuild engine. The valves were closer †o the cylinder bore and that was why they were famous for cracking in that area.
As far as the cam index...

Re: 8BA back under way.

Old threads can always stand new comments.
I think an after market block would have very good sales. It doesn't matter on a race engine that we have to go through 4 or 5 blocks now to get a good...

Re: PNW Flathead Rebuilders

Try Marshall Woolery at Thun Field Hot Rods in Tacoma. He farms some of the machine work out but the finished product is first cabin.
Tell him I sent you and he won't double the price.

Re: Composition of "Rustless Steel"

The only way you can come close on color match is to get a junk shell and have your welder practice on it with various rods. Might start with 347.

Re: Pump Gas for a Model A

An interesting experiment to try sometime as you sit around waiting for the virus to go away.

Oh correction, I...

Re: Radio noise

Another thing to try is, ask your radio guy for a 10 amp. COAXIAL capacitor and put it IN SERIES with the feed wire close to the pump. The case on these needs †o be grounded.

Re: Steering wheel & Seat

1- Install an after market tilt column.
2- Move the seat back.
3- Do both 1 and 2.

80's Honda Prelude seats are 6 way mechanical adjustable and the front mounts align with the...
