30 over pistons. Pulled them for a small rebuild.....removed babbitt and now full insert motor.
My question.....which way do these go back in? Forgot to take note when removing.

Re: '32 style gas tank on a Model A

IMHO those saddle tanks are a bit of a pain. I had them on my '29 Roadster. You are unable to fully fill them up and also bending over to fill them is uncomfortable, at least for me but, yes they are...

Re: oil leak rear main

and I'll throw this out there.......it could be an issue with the cam gasket not sealing properly!

Ask me how I know! :(

But.......I would get a new tube first, set the main and see what...

Re: Best Windshield Wiper Blade?

J Franklin....thanks. I'll check into that. I get good lower coverage but the top is lacking.

J McMimmcs.....Rainx is Ok but I hope to get the blade to do better. As mentioned above, the lower...

Best Windshield Wiper Blade?

Anyone have a suggestion for a good wiper blade for the A?

I know many of them flop and float in the wind and provide very poor wiping motion while in use.

I have an elec 6v motor and I'm...

And like most of us, my champagne tastes with a beer pocketbook, relegate me to Model A's! :(

Re: 3 Speed Trans Open Drive to Close Drive?

The cluster gear is 28-24-18-14. Haven't seen the part number yet.
The 18 gear is a bit chewed up (of course.....being the expensive set).
As is the low/reverse sliding gear.
Will also need...

Re: 3 Speed Trans Open Drive to Close Drive?

Thanks rotorwrench and Mart. Mart not F1 51/52.

I understand the car gears is a better choice than the truck gears.
I'm using the stock A rear and I have the 3:78 gears in it.

Re: 3 bolt to 2 bolt distributor adapter

Not to hijack but for information.
Can you use a 2 bolt plate instead of the 3 bolt plate or is there more to it than that?

Re: 59A Date?

JayChicago, thanks, I had read that. Sure looks like it's a date but the block is a '42 Merc block so 7 2 46(8) would not be correct.
