Re: Model A Fella's please read this

Have not been here in a while. I agree with Ryan and Cobs stance. Some people seem to want to lord over others because of their "superior" knowledge or "righteous" attitudes. There are no dumb...

Re: Shaving stock head

Cool Hand Lurker, You sound just like me. I enjoy my retirement just like you, out in my shop on the mill, lathe and surface grinder, maybe welding some things together for no good reason. Just...

Re: Do any 1928 Starter Bushings Exist?

Hi Tom, Chris is right about being easy to turn out new bushings on a lathe. Most starter bushings I have encoutered have been made of "oilite", a sintered bronze material that is pressed and bonded...

Re: Woven Linings and Cast Iron Drums

From what I read, most have good braking using this combo. This leads me to believe that Smitty has a problem other than the combination of drum and lining.

Smitty, have you had the drums on a...

Re: Brought another one home.

Well spent $300. Almost looks like a mid 40s IHC pickup hood that makes the boat tail. Cool!

Re: Upsetting

Keep taking care of mom Wuudie. No matter how irrational she may seem, she won't be around forever. When she is gone you will have a clear concious and a nice model A.

Re: powerful words like barn fresh little olé lady

Ok, we have established that the guy is probably a (yeah, his feedback indicates a really baaaad "I don't give a crap about you" attitude) real jerk. On the moto meter that started this thread, I...

Re: The First Blue Bird School Bus

Great video. Would be neat to see some model A school buses. Any out there? I question Mr. Luce's discription of shifting into high gear on the mode T. It seems to me that the time I drove a model T,...

Re: Not Model A related, but car related

Seems to me the last trip permit I got was about $20 and good for 3 days. I get mine at the local courthouse auditors office. DMV might work too. I know that cars licensed in Spokane need to be...

Re: powerful words like barn fresh little olé lady

To me the piece looks vintage and in pretty good shape. Awful pricey for me though. Way older than model a if it has been sitting on a barn shelf for almost a century. That would put it last being...

Thanks for the information Tom. I don't have a copy of the judging standards but know a fellow who may. Will check with him. Yes Jim Parker, they are the long ones that attach to the frame on one end...

e28 rear bumpers and brackets

I am in need of a set of rear bumper brackets for my Jan 28 tudor sedan. Someone torched mine in its former life . Are all rear brackets the same, 28-31? I see some on ebay listed for 28-29 and...

Re: Surprise!

On the front bumper, the passenger side turn light (I assume it to be turn) is amber and the driver side is a very dark color. Are Canadian turn signals different colors side to side? Just currious.

Re: New guy here

I love what I see in the background of your picture. Lathe, mill and metal shear. Great machinery for repair and fabricating hard to find parts. Did you fab the Gatling gun?? Keep the pictures...

Re: Winter Restoration begins-brake tracks?

WOW, I'm not quite sure why Jim Parker Toronto got his knickers in a knot over the use of the word scam especialy when jkeesey had a logical explaination of his use of the word scam. A little...

Re: Rescued Another One Today

Good save. I have found that the most fun is in the retrieval itself. Yarding something out of a hidden ravine (or in Hillbilly Tims case an obscure shed) with two or three friends whether it is...

What kind of radiator is on the 100% original 1920 model T? I wish a couple of guys would get into a bidding frenzy over my 53 Pacard mayfair 2 door HT I'm trying to sell CHEAP. Orphans for ya.

Re: My Tudor Just Went Up in Value!

Had to be another sucker who bid him up to the sale price. Takes two to get into a bidding frenzy.
