48-50 f1 skid strips in box

I understand the 48-50 f1 came with a steel type floor with the skid strips and wood underneath. My question is because the wheelwell protrudes maybe a half inch into the box,did it originally have...

The bench seat is black, I thought they originally came only in brown. Maybe not original, or maybe I'm mistaken. Anyway, sweet truck that you should never sell....I wish my truck had a history...

I have two of those heaters. One I stripped down to find original colors to see if they matched my other one. Both are a dark gray (metalic?-did they make metalic back then?) with gold "f" and gold...
