If your vehicle was produced in Geelong, it would have been 6 volt and equipped with Lucas electrics.
Check your generator, should be a Lucas, model C45PV-4 or C45PV-5 and part no. 22459 or 22477...

The C31A11130 appears to be a Ford part no., I looked up the generic no. 11130 in the Ford Australia 49-54 parts book and there is 7RA11130 which is for a 1949 Truck "Plate-Starter Motor-Rear End".

My 1949/54 Ford Australia Chassis & Body Parts Book lists 59T8600B, a 6 bladed fan for all 49/54 F series trucks & 51A8600, a 4 bladed fan for all 49/54 sedans & utilities..

If the rubber bung is in front of the oil filler pipe, the hole would've been for the road draught tube originally. It would appear that a previous owner has installed a Positive Crankcase...

All Australian manufactured 1949-1954 RHD sedans and utilities had the starter motor on the left hand side of the bell housing as the clutch fork was on the right hand side.

Walt, the 1949-54 Ford Australia Chassis & Body Parts Manual only lists C8BA6252B, C8RT6252 & CEAB6252A Canadian sourced cams, similar to Barlea.

It appears the engine was in a 48-52 truck.
The sump with large clean-out and the right hand exhaust manifold would indicate this, however, the EAB heads are from 52-53 passenger vehicle but...
