1936 ford pickup dash

I am restoring a 36 pickup. I notice on some pictures there is some knob to the right of the glove box. What is it for? Mine has been plugged and bondo'd

Does anyone know if the 36 beds came with rope tie down hooks on the side rails? My truck has them. Not sure if they were an option or someone added them. They are mounted under the side rail with...
