Re: 49 to 53 water pumps

Just realised some long forgotten person had fitted a narrow belt alternator ( albeit chrome) along with incorrect matching narrow belts , which was throwing me off. The pumps are regular 8RT wide...

Re: 49 to 53 water pumps

We want the single narrow belt pulley with standard mounting ears out the side , not the raised mercury ears, which I just removed. The motor is a 50 mercury in a 32 chassis. Don’t want The 8ba type...

Who do we turn to for 1/2” belt 49 to 53 water pumps in an early chassis. Meaning narrow belt long water pumps with side ears . The motor is a 50 merc. I just think it will look ugly with 50 merc...

Re: Clutch won’t release

I have had a clutch stick occasionally, but not as long as a 6 year hiatus. Mine always free up by starting in 2nd or 3rd gear. You could try it it an open space of course. It costs nothing to try .

Re: Old pics from Hudson steering on Old Rusty.

Brilliant, thanks very much Mart for the effort to repost something from 20 birthdays ago .do you remember what you used to weld the new flange onto the sector shaft housing, being dissimilar metals?...

Re: Setting Caster On 36 Fordor

Camber is fixed by the i beam axle and can only be changed by bending the axle. Assuming your spring is in front of the axle , when you split the bones and moved them out the spring perches still...

Re: 32 commercial truck steering box

I assume these are longer than a passenger arm. I am sure if the fixed ball is worn ,with some care it could be built up, or it appears that the is enough metal to make a 7degree tapered hole for a...

Re: 32 commercial truck steering box

Re: 32 commercial truck steering box

Yes this must be a BB box . Seems like 17.1 ratio. Now I need to find a Pitman arm . STD ford pitman is too small by 0.123”. Spline count is the same. It’s a very nice box.

32 commercial truck steering box

I picked up a fairly decent 32 big truck steering box . I knew it was from a big truck as it had the 4 spoke steering wheel and a much longer column drop. No problem I thought, just swap those out....

Re: Repairing 1932 Rims

Re: Plasma Cutter Recomendations

Don’t buy by the cheapest. I had a cheapie , don’t remember the brand now. But it was pathetic junk. Trying to cut stuff and when the compressor cut in it would blow the wall fuse regularly. Went to...
