The resistor on the switch and switch contacts is what puts the motor in slow speed. Look to make sure one lead of the resistor is not broken.

34 water pumps do not have a threaded hole for a temperature sensor. 35 & 36 LH pumps Do have the temperature port which has a SPECIAL SEAT and the threads are 5/8-18 which is not an NPT thread.

No engine side oil baffle on a 33 or 34 they were used 35 and after. If you look inside the oil fill pipe you will find the baffles for your car. I would look around and find another good fuel pump...

Excuse me! The 33-34 does NOT use the flat plate. 32 & 35-36 do use the plate, I wish I could get it straight.

If you decide to DIY don't clean electrical contacts with sandpaper. The grit will get stuck in the contact and cause future problems. A point file or scotch pad are much better then wipe with plain...
