I know MAX and I know he'll do you right. By the way do not submerge the float
in hot water....luke warm is sufficient....hats off to '51 MERC -CT

Regarding #11....a V8 60 does not have a separate f/p stand....the stand is integral with the intake. Terry has good ideas as always but my offer works best if I can put
the patient on the table...

Your pump delivered 2 1/2 psi on my test motor, it should be very close to that
on yours. I'm upset but never surprised when something like this occurs. Uncle Max
will be here...

How timely.....the '49 8BA in my '32 had a ci pulley ,2 sheave. When I freshened the motor the iron pulley went on the shelf....it is an anchor.

Ham,
It's a typo. As long as the Chevy dist core is not HEI and has a the window cap
we're good to go. I think my mistake was Delco went to alum from iron in '65 or there
abouts.

Ship the Pert at your convenience. Be sure you get the Pert that reads the breaker cam, that does away with the reluctor ring. Take the time to discuss the correct coil to use...

My rule of thumb regarding excessive clearance between the throttle shaft and it's
bore in the base is to remove the shaft and check the bore at both ends...

The demand for sbc distributors converted for use in 8BA flatheads

remains surprisingly strong. For anyone contemplating one of mine I wanted
to refresh where I'm at......I'll need a good core...

The 8BA distributor is 100% vacuum controlled, no mechanical adv at all. It's design
is for use with venturii vac from above the throttle plates of a single 94 style carb.
Change the carb away...

So I took a minute and googled E85.....could be as high as 105. That E makes a big difference ,not to be confused with 85 or 87 oct.

Hmmm,
I build a few 94's each year and all are quite happy with e 85 or e 87.
I'm probably wrong but I thought the number was the octane not % of alky. It seems
to me (4) 94's will...

and it is great to be able to check the drill size chart on the wall without squinting and
seeing the numbers...

Had cataract surgery yesterday....2/10.....I'll be back to the shop by
Saturday if all goes well. Left eye scheduled for 3/10.
