Re: 53 radiator up-to-snuff?

I forgot to add I plan to add an electric 16" fan since not enough room for a clutch fan anyway. Hoping to use one of those frame-mount coolers like this...

Pair of 1935 16" Wheels

Looking for a pair of 1935 16" wire spokes. Prefer something that does not need metal work to fix dents, rusted air hole, etc. I just want to blast, paint and mount a tire. Only need a pair and...

Re: 35 Wires on 36 Spindle?

Those are pretty tall! I hate to say it but I found a Continental temporary spare that is 16" for a 4" rim and low profile. Gets me to the perfect height to level the frame!

Re: Corn Head Grease Use

Another use is the old PTO winches on military trucks and Jeeps. Gear oil runs right through but the JD CH grease works perfect! ;)

53 radiator up-to-snuff?

I am building up a 1953 Mainline with a carb'd roller 5.0L. I know there are a lot of radiator swaps but the original radiator is all copper and a pretty thick core. I also like the factory look. ...

Re: 35 Wires on 36 Spindle?

Good info! I want as thin as possible so will update my post. Likewise on the wheels ... typo. I specifically want the 16" because of height after tire is mounted. I need to keep the diameter as...

1953 Project

Thought I'd share one of my projects ... 1953 Mainline Coupe. Original 6-cyinder with 3 on the tree but manual steering and brakes are a chore to drive with all the morons on the road these days.

Re: 35 Wires on 36 Spindle?

OK, here is what I need if anyone has them within 100 miles of SW Michigan or will ship:

2 - 1932-34 front drums - prefer out-of-spec to save money since will not be running brakes
2 - 1935 16"...

Re: 35 Wires on 36 Spindle?

Definitely looks like 36 spindles! I checked out the thread tubman posted and it looks like the only difference is the 1/4" length and they said the 36 nut is 1/4 thinner than the 35. I may be able...

35 Wires on 36 Spindle?

I purchased this homemade tractor at a show this past weekend. It looks like the builder welded steelies to a '36 hub. From what I gather the axle is a narrowed 36. I'd like to put spokes on the...
