Transmission Snap Rings

I am in the process of rebuilding my transmission. What is the concensus on re-using snap rings?

The one that came with my 1928 Phaeton uses a slightly different approach again.
It uses a Borg Warner filter #BW4266E.
I am told that the Zenith has been air balanced to suit.

Thanks for your input. I decided on 6mm perspex which is fractionally under 1/4 inch and much lighter. Used silicone as the adhesive and all looks very secure.

Could someone please advise the correct thickness of glass/perspex for wind wings? The instructions that came with my Vintique kit are not very specific.

Following this post, I have check measured 3 distributor tops that I have and found them to be all within 5 thou of 0.972".
