Re: 1931 Wide Bed Pickup Cowl band
As others have posted, cowl band should be body color. IIRC, originals are plain steel, not stainless. AFAIK, they are not reproduced in that metal and are hard to find.

Re: Failed Experiment
Henry Ford had the same attitude, “Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.”

Re: Harbor Freight changes
I don't know how Harbor Freight tools compare to "professional" stuff as I'm a hobbyist/DIYer, not a professional. H-F stuff is fine for my needs (and those little blue flashlights they gave away...

Re: Rubelite Red
It's not firetruck red, more what I'd call burgundy. Several decades ago, the MAFCA magazine published a color chip, coincidentally about the time our pickup was ready for paint. Computer...

Re: Australian 1932 Ford Type 304 Style Side Ute
Yep, although I'm not sure they'd qualify as "Coupe". The A is standard pickup except for cowl lights and stainless (rather than painted) trim like passenger cars - and of course the Deluxe box and...

Re: Australian 1932 Ford Type 304 Style Side Ute
The ultimate roadster pickup! IMHO, the 302 is better looking as it doesn't have the "window boxes" but the 304 looks better with them than without. They shouldn't be hard to make - even...

Re: Sport Coupe Roof
Yup2
Passenger side should look like letter S and backward S on driver side - fake center knob toward back of car on both sides:

Re: whats the best & worst car to buy in 1930
Maybe Henry could have afforded to build the T until his death, but could he have sold it? 1923 was the high water mark for the T. After that, production and price dropped every year as customers...

Re: whats the best & worst car to buy in 1930
I've owned Model A but no non-Ford cars from that era, so I have no basis for comparison. But I have owned both Fords and MoPars from the late-30s. The ChryCo cars are better built.

What is this truck?
What can you folks tell me about this truck? It's obviously early-40s Ford stake-bed. But I don't recall hood vents like that or the V/8 stamped in the sheet metal rather than an applied badge.

OTOH, I've seen posts where the wrong word changes the meaning to the exact opposite of what the poster intended.
And with all due respect, lose the bold font in your posts. We get the message...
