Re: Holley 94 Rebuild - Something Strange

Attached is a pic I took to keep me from getting mixed up on reassembly; I believe this was from a undisturbed carb. The three sided one is used on the brass seat, the four sided on the pump. The...

Re: Holy Crap! Kindergarten kids stamped my block. What do I have here?

Re: Holy Crap! Kindergarten kids stamped my block. What do I have here?

I have 2 CDN 239 engines, original to a 50 Meteor and a 51 Mercury M-3. To my knowledge there was no serial number stamped on these blocks; only the production dates. If the engine date matched the...

Re: Shoebox door gap

I was able to do a little twisting of the upper(glass) portion of my 50 4 door, wooden blocks and a heavy shoulder. If you try and get that little bit at the bottom out you will chase the problem to...

Re: Need info on 1949-50 instrument cluster ?

There are many ways to cure this problem, just be sure you have done something to cure the problem BEFORE you put the dash back together. I removed the purple lenses and left the bulbs in place. The...

Re: 1950 Ford car slip yoke exposure

The math works such that the yoke is past the inside of the bushing about 1/4"; probably enough to work. I think the driveshaft I have is about 3/4" too short (perhaps was on a station wagon...

Re: 1950 Ford car slip yoke exposure

Thanks; so you are telling me you think the driveshaft is too short? This car is 100% assembled and driving when pic was taken. Appreciate your help.

1950 Ford car slip yoke exposure

This car did not come with a driveshaft, I "found" one and installed it and now am wondering if it is too short. The pic shows I have about 1-3/4" of the yoke barrel out of the transmission...

Re: heater control valve

I am not sure if my valve is exactly the same but it sure is close. The diaphram (not O ring) I replaced on my 50. About $10 at NAPA or old GM parts people. Do a search, there is a guy that does this...

50 upper outer a arm bushing install question

I attempted to install the bushing kit, the bushing and bolt match the originals but the supplied seals are one diameter only. I think if they had one larger end I could squeeze them in place? I do...
