Dave are you saying that a complete power assist system from a 59 merc will fit on a 57 Fairlane I know where there is a complete setup minus the pump also found a complete integrated power steering...

Paul tried that also tried adjusting door I did notice that the striker wheel on the door is loose by that I mean the wheel and the cover don't know weather that may be the cause or not if time...
