Yes, they cost twice as much, but the only one i use are the ones posted by blockhead. Copper on both sides. The extra cost is worth it. The CHEAP green one blow out.

Thanks for the reminder Bob C. The eyes on the VW shocks are measured in mm - not SAE. I juz went to local hardware and got all mm bolts drilled my brackets to match and problem solved.

Do not wire an electric fuel switch on same switch if you have an electronic distributor. The electritikkles dont like one another. As marshall says use a separate switch.

Coils an condensers and other components of teh distributor should not know the difference between number 2 and number 134. Have you checked for something like a foouled out number two spark plug.

The one on the left, the "thin" one is an early 1928 hub. Sometimes referred to as an "AR". The one on the right, the "thick" one is common 1929 thru 1931

Went thru the same thing couple of weeks ago. Turned out to be a fouled plug. All four plugs were Champion 3x. Changed the plug (3#) and problem went away. ken

Bent Rod slamming the rod journal forward and back makes the same "knock" as a loose rod "knock" Check your rod straightness.

Using poster board from DollarGeneras. Cut your own patterns until you get the right fit,., then cover it with vinyl using 3M spray contact as ModelA29 suggest.
