Re: 266 versus 276 CI?
BUT, a lot of the dirt track guys went with 3 7/16 x 4 1/8 for 306.
That was the engine to beat at Ascot, in the LA area.

The piston marking of 80.92 if mm, would be 3.1858 and that would be a standard bore.

Re: Prony Brake Ideas
As I said in my initial response, on the other thread, you can spray water into the center of the rotor.

It's probably a little over kill to use a 1 1/2 ton disk for a 150 HP engine but, it would be trouble free, I think to at least 250 HP.
The...

Re: Is it normal to build an engine test stand?
A idea that I've contemplated for many years, is to use a large disk brake, connected to a drive shaft, on the bolt pattern. Mount the caliper, to a lever, 1 ft long, to a point (say a bolt) from the...

Re: What is the correct condenser rating?
A question that comes to mind, after reading the range of mfd is, has anyone tested the voltage output, with different mfd's and point gap settings.
For instance, with a higher mfd, can you run...

Re: V8 Camshaft Bolt Pattern
I'm assuming your engine is for the Batten Special?
Will the restoration to the earlier configuration, include going back to the '35 type grill shell?

Re: Bolt remover socket
If I'm getting this right, the hex of the bolt head is rounded, until a socket spins on it?
If that is the case, the way that I go about it, is to use a prick punch and a hammer to turn it. It...
