Open advance, click on Manage Attachments in the Attach Files box, then browse, load photos from your file, then click up load. If they don't load you may need to resize them or are the wrong file...

Any of the ones we have gotten from Snyder's, soak up the oil. They, too, look to be a Teflon type material.

Same here. I do however do some pre fitting after they are in the grooves. Nice thing about rope seals, if you need to take the timing cover off, you don't have to fight the one piece seal coming out...

After you find your first point, make a degree wheel with notches 180 degrees apart, the diameter of your pulley. Lay it on the pulley and make your second mark. No fumbling with flexible tapes.

Would I be correct in guessing the driveshaft was shortened between the dual high and rear end, if so, wonder if the two ends were just welded and the weld has broke free?

Dielectric grease, many of them, are non conductive. If used as suggested, might make lots of smoke as the contacts try to complete the circuit by burning the grease away. :) Dielectric might work...

RE the broken axle, if broke there is nothing holding the wheel/hub/brake drum to the rear end, and you could pull the broken stub along with everything else out of the housing.

If everything was done right with the Ruckstell, and correct fluid was used, looking at it from the back; with the lever on the housing pulled back, out of Ruckstell, it should roll like any other T....

How much travel in the pedal when the pedal is all the way out and when the bearing first comes in contact with the fingers when pressing down? It should have about 1 inch travel.
