Model A-103" wheelbase, 32-106" wheelbase...A is too short. Best is make it new with 4130 steel tube and the ends from a 32-34 shaft. not easy, and not cheap.

The ones with the thick plate also use a shorter case and I assume armature. Less torque I would guess, I always try to avoid them. Not sure what they came on originally

Personally, I turn my car off in the fall, and I start it up again in the spring. Many folks in the hobby like the disconnect switches, and many tell of the failures of the new modern junk they sell...

Fred, I am confused now, if you are not trying for the " big & little" thing, then why are you not happy with the wheels you have? as we have seen, 40, square drop center, 4", 42 and up, sloped drop...

Mr strech cab still hasnt responded back as to what year he is working on. must not be too important. the reason I ask is the later ones with a bearing in the middle sometimes do not play nice

Its been discussed here before, basically you need to put the glass in first and wire or tape it all the way up. Then, install the regulator and channel, then drop the glass down into the channel....

I am no expert, but a friend who is in the trans rebuilding service always poo poo's my thoughts of using rusty trans parts because he say's the hard surface is not very deep, and rust will remove it...

You can buy actual speedo grease intended for this, but I just use a lithium based grease. Not the white stuff, it tends to dry up and get hard over time.
