That's a LED light you show and the ones with a fan are typically LED's
I have a set in my modern truck and love them. the 31 truck has H4 Halogen and they work very well also.
I do wonder about...

The cut on the torque tube /driveshaft is more than the 1/2". the trans is a longer in length than the A that"s why you have to shorting things up. The AA bellhousing makes it so that you do not...

No not an orphan,just got to look a little harder to get what you need for them. Great overdrive trans for an A. We have two in the family both with the AA bellhousings (1/2" shorter) and love them.

Sounds like some of you need to buy the proper tools,19/32 and the 8 point sockets are not really hard to get.

I see the snap-on obstruction wrench's on e-bay regularly in the $20-$40 range.
They never say anything about model A just listed as an 11/16 obstruction wrench

Light pressure on the clutch pedal with the engine running will stop the crankshaft from moving back and forth if thats whats making noise it should stop or at least change in tone

The adapter your using is the Jeep part and if I remember right there only 80 deg not 90
the Ford ones look to stand off a little more also. you can find them on 70's vans and the Mustang II 's that...

Yep, that's right, measure and cut with the same tape and it does not matter how far it's off. It will be off the same amount both times.
And when you compare it to another tape, how do you know...

It's not so much the compression as it is running with too much spark advance with the extra compression. The over advanced timing causes detonation and that's what hammers out the bearing material....

Daves kit includes the trans, AA bell housing, shortened torque tube and driveshaft and radius rods, pedal and e-brake brackets,clutch disk.
Or another way, pretty much everything you need :)

The welding of cast iron is not really any black art, welds pretty much like any steel. The secret is in the pre heat AND very slow post heat, or controlling the cool down of the area that was hot...
