Most of the old cars that I've had the privilege to own or work own doors, hoods, and trunk lids very seldom were aligned correctly from the factory and needed to be worked on to be perfect....

I think that the new drum is hitting your backing plate, and the shims will fix the problem. Worked for me when I had the same problem.

The problem with only keeping the gas tank half full or empty is that the ethanol gas attacks moisture and will cause rust in the unused portion of your tank unless it has been coated with a gas tank...

I have to agree with Bigsnapper43 on the gas going bad quickly and it doesn't have to change colors or turn orange before it's turns bad, and your motor won't start or runs poorly.

I trailered a 30 Coupe from Tampa to Gatesville, Tx on a rented U-Haul car hauler that only cost me 150 dollars for a one-way trip. Didn't have any problems along the way.

I used brake cleaner on my seats of my car when I got grease on my seats, and it worked really well, and the grease had soaked through the fabric. It didn't change the color of the fabric.

I sanded and filed the e-brake and got the new drums on and everything seems to be working as it should. I took Sweet Pea (what I named her) out for a ride yesterday and the brakes are working fine....
