I also have a 29ccpu since 1961 a lot of enjoyment except for the drivers side spare a dog to get in and out now that I'm approaching 79 years.

Older plugs come in 2 parts great for compression check or welding an eyebolt for engine removal.

Being that most of the replacement points for the original Ford set up don't fit correctly because the arm is too long,I burnish the old points that are serviceable and get many trouble free miles...

yes they sell reducers so you can use modern plugs and some older plugs that are subtitutes foe 3x are a smaller size.

When I acquired my 29ccpu in the 60's it had a copper roof which had the corners soldered therefore burning the wood underneath I used them as patterns and copied them in oak.

If you can't bolt up the ex. manifold with the gland rings it is usually the rear of the manifold that has sagged and must be replaced for correct alignment.

It appears the pipe was installed to add to the flow of water to #4 water jacket,probably does not do very much never saw this done and wouldn't drill and tap a hole in the side of any A block.

possibly there is locktite on the screw,concentrated heat might loosen it as long as nothing else get will get ruined.
