Re: 4 post lift

I've been watering and fertilizing the garage for years hoping it would grow to accommodate a lift. So, far it hasn't worked.

Re: 28 roadster steering wheel

Someone smarter than I can confirm but, wasn't there a change other than just the color of the wheel? Number of splines maybe.

Just thinking there may be more involved than just changing the...

Re: Jed Clampetts place

If I had Bezos money I wouldn't want to have to deal with all that. Pretty but way too over the top.

28 roadster frame vs 30 coupe frame

From what I've discovered through search and catalogs and what not, it appears they are at least dimensionally the same. Is that correct?

Re: Coronavirus vs "A" Drive

Left the house and went to the market a bit ago. It's weird out there. Been a couple three weeks. Feel like I should shower and burn my clothes. Do I need to quarantine the new food away from...

Re: Pictures and computer scanning/transfering

If you have a phone with a decent camera, check out the app called Google PhotoScan. It will walk you through taking 4-5 pictures of the photo you're "scanning". The app then combines the photos,...

Re: Driver

Looks like they found something for the kids/grandkids to do.

The guy down the street got his daughter a practical volvo wagon to drive when she turned 16. She made it hers. Painted it in...

Re: Clutch stuck

I think that is likely the case here as well. If it was all put together it might make sense to try and jar it loose.

I just need to clear some time and space to do it right and take it...

Re: Clutch stuck

I appreciate all the thoughts and suggestions. Whether I can get it to release now or not I'll ultimately do the right thing and drop the rear, change the disk and clean up the surfaces. I have...

Clutch stuck

Couldn't decide on the right word. Stuck seems best. The car has sat for a long time. It was last started probably 10 years ago. The clutch was stuck then.

Back in the day it was assumed that...

Re: inside paint

I read somewhere that it can also lessen the chance of rust from condensation in vehicles that are not driven frequently or, driven for short trips and do not get up to temp. Seemed a bit of a...

Re: bmw woes

I have an '11 335 that I bought used. The more I learn about it the more terrified I am of something going wrong. Nice little car to drive but the unnecessary complications, price of parts/labor...

Re: Black fender paint

I'm not a painter. You might also want to check with the guy who primed them and ask what primer he used.

Make sure the products you're using are compatible with what he used.

Re: Quick Jack Car Lift

Don't own one. I've considered one. My concern has always been the unknowns with the concrete slab. I guess if I had built the building that would help but otherwise I would opt for a four post. ...

Re: Vintage clock repair ?

Sounds like you've already wound it. Don't overwind it and break the mainspring. I'm assuming that it ticks a few seconds and then stops when you wiggle the clock a little to "jump start" the...

Re: Will I fit in a Roadster??

Damn it! Looks like there is going to have to be less of me by the time I get the car on the road. Guess it's salad tonight.

Re: Where to put Tools for the Tudor

Like that style bag. HD has them on sale cheap occasionally too. Use them for tools, fishing tackle, camera crap, random orbital buffer and pads, all kinds of stuff.
