Please don't use a gasket between the torque tube and the banjo housing.
The gasket does not appear in the original Ford parts books.

I agree and would like to ad that insert bearings are not that new.

My 1947 Federal Mogul catalog shows that 1918 Caterpillar tractors used them.

Chevrolet used them for main bearings in 1929....

Adapter to use a Model B oil pan on the "New Engine"

The "New Engine" moving parts (crankshaft, connecting rods, and flywheel) are made in 3 separate factories and each part is balanced when it leaves the factory.

The maximum stress in a connecting rod is tension at TDC and at the end of the exhaust stroke.

The "New Engine" connecting rod was analyzed by FEI (Finite Element Analysis) with a 2-pound piston...

This gasket was not used in Model A production and is not in any of the original parts books.

The torque tube clamps the double pinion race in place and needs to have a metal-to-metal fit.
