Re: Model A Day in Sharon is on. June 6, 2021

Yes. Little Hersey is next Sat. May 15 at the Boone county fairgrounds located on the north side of Belvidere, IL. Many years ago it was a mecca for Ford A and T parts, but not anymore. The last...

Re: Model A Day in Sharon is on. June 6, 2021

I attended a Model A Day meeting in Sharon last evening and thought I would pass along the menu for June 6 in Sharon. There will be plenty of food at three different locations, plus the Coffee Cup...

Re: Assembling Open Car Windshield Gaskets

Pluck: Four years ago I installed a rubber windshield gasket kit in our 28 Phaeton windshield. Original frame. It fit fine. I probably got it from Brattons, but it could have been from Snyders,...

Re: Fuel shut off valve

Lefthander makes a good point. One wonders if Ford went backwards by moving the gas shut off valve to the engine compartment. I have an indented firewall 31 with a B carburetor that does not leak...

Re: Mitchell OD with touring engine

I have run a Borg Warner OD for years with a stock engine. The Borg OD is a 33% increase. It pulled a bit hard, IMO. The engine was never quite up to the task. Then I installed a 26% Mitchell...

Re: 1928 Phaeton windshield gasket

If I did this again, I would run the lower windshield rubber gasket past the end of the windshield frame, rather than cutting it off like I did. Let the rubber overlap the base of the stanchion an...

Model A Day in Sharon is on. June 6, 2021

Just got home from a meeting with the local folks who put Model A Day in Sharon together. It is definitely a GO. Same basic format as other years. Parts swap, live music , pig roast, exclusive...

Re: Need advise buying a 1930 model A coupe

Winters are cold and long in Wisconsin. Working on a car out in the shop sure beats doing nothing all winter, and I have something to show come springtime.
