Re: 1935-36 Roadster Wind Wing Glass

Call Sanders. They know the exact location of the bug and orientation on the windwing. They made correct windwings for my '33 Sedan. And they're reasonable.

Re: Head gasket .Which way

You mentioned Aluminum Heads. When I bought heads for my '33 from Kearney Foundry, they would NOT sell them to me if I used metal head gaskets. -Electrolysis. Only composite.

Re: 1937 Ford question

I put little visors on my '37 headlights to soften the relatively ugly accessory sealed beam conversion. Fortunately for you, your car is so good looking, it doesn't take away from the over all look.

Re: Tireshop for '37 Ford wheels

After much searching, I found a tire shop. They did a super job! I did learn a few lessons: 1) Not everyone wants to work. (Maybe its just here in California?)
2) If they would rather NOT do a...

Re: 1937 Ford question

Your car is great looking! It also has the 1940 accessory headlight set-up using sealed beams. Getting the 1937 Book is recommended. It goes into much detail.

Re: Tireshop for '37 Ford wheels

I used to change my Model A wheels all the time. I had plenty of mobility and plenty of room to work on anything then. As far as contacting the local V8 guys, they don't have a go-to guy. There...

Re: Tireshop for '37 Ford wheels

Of the twelve tire shops I talked to, most of them will not reuse the inner tube. because they cannot protect it. Just more expense on something simple. These people think they are on the cutting...

Tireshop for '37 Ford wheels

I have discovered that there may not be any tire shops that have the equipment to remove tires from '37 wheels to put on a new tire. I understand this requires a piece of old school equipment called...

I am looking for a set of FIVE 600-16 3"Whitewall Tube Tires. Inexpensive and the newer, the better. Can pick up anywhere in Southern California.

Re: Bill McGrath,Early Ford Store

When someone I like and enjoy doing business with, -while sharing our special hobby passes away, it hurts.

The other sobering part is that it reminds me that we're all just visitors here.
