Speedo problems
Hi guys,
I'm wondering what would cause the speedo in my 49 M1 to chatter and bounce up to the end of the dial?
Is this cable/Lubricant or the actual speedo itself?

There is no harm in coming off the break in (non detergent) oil and running a quality none synthetic oil for a few thousand miles (and don't pussy foot during break in, make it work).

The biggest problem with 80 year old mechanical brakes is generally not the brakes.
All the rods, joints, bushings and gimbal style connectors wear and things move unequally between left and right...

Select a stiffer spring rate and go lower
or select a lighter spring rate and ride higher.
The difference will be in how much the spring...
