It would be easy to test the ball just put it into some of that fluid in a phial and see if it sinks.

The original Ford red fluid has come up on Ebay now and again and it is the same fluid that is used in the Temperature gauge. I wonder if the gauge would still work if you fitted a little red ball.

Those castings can not be welded satisfactory, I have a brass spare fuel pump stand here chrome plated which I had cast many years ago it needs parts from another one to finish it of.

On my Ford Stroboscope I set the Vacuum piston to about 8lbs to pull the piston of the disc and I have found that most of the early type of early type distributors that have the aluminium bore...

I only run .36 UF Magneto Condensers in my V8s and I recommend them to other guys when I rebuild V8 distributor, Recommended by Bubba all others have too low a M.F.D.
