It's been my experience that the big ins. companies become the middle man and have a smaller classic car ins co. do the insuring. Therefore more expensive.

Pressure Sealing A Block
Saw this on H&H Facebook page. It's news to me. Maybe others have heard of it. "H&H Flatheads:
its a cast iron resin heated up to 180 degrees and pumped through the block under pressure."

This is the type of pulley I started with ( crazy price). The front pulley is approx. 5 3/8 inches dia. My machined pulley area is a little larger around 5 1/2"....

I can't say off hand. From what I remember it was just enough to clear the distributor. I can try to get a measurement tomorrow. I think there was a raised area on the pulley that I machined off.

I have a crab on my '51 Merc engine. I dug up a photo from 10-15 yrs ago. I machined the OD of the pulley to clear. It wasn't a stamped pulley.

I would say it has to do with the cable. Lubing will most likely help. Or needs replacing, if it's like a regular speedo cable.
