Re: Water Pump Removal
What’s the best way to remove the pump studs for the fake bolts? Tried the double nut but it didn’t work.

Re: Brake Light Switch Backwards
I took it apart because the aftermarket '28-'29 switches are known for not working out of the package. When I took it apart the contacts didn't touch with the plunger pulled back, so I fixed that...

Re: Brake Light Switch Backwards
Yeah I didn't think the wires mattered which terminal they were attached to due to the design of the switch. I'll probably swap them just to see.
I'll pull it apart tomorrow and see if...

Re: Brake Light Switch Backwards
I don't have the engine ready to fire yet, I was just testing the wiring off the battery.
I have it mounted in the correct spot, I'm using an aftermarket battery box with hydraulic brakes.

Re: Brake Light Switch Backwards
Depress = pressing down. The brake lights are on without touching the pedal, when I press it down they go out. They did work before but I was using a 30-31 switch, I had to use a 28-29 this go around...

Brake Light Switch Backwards
I installed a new harness recently and everything worked fine, but the rear brake lights stay on until I depress the pedal. The car is a '30 with two rear tail lights and I'm using a '28-'29 brake...

Re: Corn Head Grease Too Fluid for Gun
I have a tube in a harbor freight gun, test pumped fine. I need to pump it into my steering box. Are you guys screwing in a zerk into the fill hole for that?

Re: Fan replacement
Did you have any issues with the aluminum fan rubbing on the leakless pump housing?

Re: Help! Tie rod end install
Ah I didn't see that part, my mistake. I still believe those rebuild kits with the silver cups are not the correct thickness and make it difficult to install.

Re: Help! Tie rod end install
I had the same problem but with my drag link, those silver cups are too thick. I ended up buying the rebuild kit from Brattons, the cups aren't as thick and the fit great, popped right on with a few...

Re: New Two Blade Fan
I put one of these on a leakless pump about a year ago, I still haven't fired the engine. It didn't seem to rub anywhere when I spun it. Should I yank the radiator again and grind on the housing? Is...

Re: Hood adjustment
I stuck a 3/16" thick and 3/8" diameter nylon spacer inside the front hinge retainer earlier tonight and it seems like it will work good. It pushed the hood back where I wanted it, I still need to...

Re: Hood adjustment
Digging this thread up. How exactly does the fiber washer/shim you describe work in this instance? Do you mean it goes inside the hood hinge rod retainer on the shell or goes on the rod against the...

I just wasn't sure if I should crank them down a little more for the head to fit inside the nut and bend the cotter pin over the stud or to bend them around the nut as the attached picture. Since the...

I'll give that a try when I blow it back apart, however I do remember four threads sticking out of the bolt with it through the block with a washer on each side, which should be correct. I'm starting...
