Re: Arizona Insurance

When you register and license a Model A in Arizona you can get an “Historical Vehicle” copper license plate, I have 6 cars licensed that way and insured with Haggerty.

1929 Town Sedan Rear Window Curtains

Wondering if anyone has a contact for either rebuilding or acquiring rear window curtains for a '29 Town Sedan. My Town Sedan has the original brown mohair interior and the silk curtains are...

Re: Enclosed trailer

I bought a 16’ aluminum V-nose fitted with an aluminum front cabinet, interior lighting and aircraft L-track tie downs. With a V-nose you get a little extra space to offset the shorter trailer...

Re: Cross country in a Model A preview

Nice video, looks like a great adventure. Doesn’t look like AZ is on your list, but if by chance you wind up going through Page, Az., (northern border @ Lake Powell) I’ll offer up my shop for...

Re: 29 Steering Wheel Play

It took about half of the backlash out, but was enough to get rid of a slight wobble I had when slowing down while straight ahead.

Re: 29 Steering Wheel Play

John, I just finished doing this on a ‘28 Tudor with about 4” of backlash and it worked very well. Thanks for the post, it’s a simple and easy procedure that I would have never thought of.

Re: Transmission Case Question

Tom thanks for the reply. What you mentioned about the baffles is exactly what I found when I tried to use the old style housing so I'm glad I have a newer case with snap rings. Interesting about...

Re: Trailering ‘28 Model A Phaeton

Depending on the gradient of the ramp and height of trailer you may want to consider putting a snatch block on your cable, it’s essentially a pulley that floats on the cable, the hook end of cable is...

Re: Shock Absorber Fluid Replacement

Thanks for the good advice, it looks like the fluid leak is oil, so what is the best oil to replenish?

Re: Shock Absorber Fluid Replacement

This is somewhat of a departure from the original conversation, but pertains to shock fluid. I recently acquired a completely restored running chassis with restored shocks. Two of the shocks are...

Help removing a stripped head bolt

About a month ago I installed a new cylinder head gasket on a ‘28 Phaeton. Torqued all head bolts down per the recommended procedure with no issues after a few short rides. Today I noticed a small...

Thanks for the response, so when reinstalling it would be best to remove the brake crossover bar?

I'm curious to see if anyone else has had this problem. In removing the transmission/bell housing after removal of the rear end differential assembly from a '28 Phaeton I could not get the U-joint...
