Re: O/T Explain water bucket mouse trap

I can vouch for the bucket/roller design. I quit counting after trapping over 20 mice in less than a year in the house. Once we had them cleaned out of the area, we have had very few. Then I had...

Re: Mitchell Overdrive

I have a Mitchell in my 31 S/W town sedan, but with a 4.11 rear end gear. I plan to remove the 4.11 and replace it with a 3.78 ratio.

Wheel Size regarding Radials

For many years I heard that 16" rims and tires were used by some to get a better ride and braking than the standard 19" rims (I am only going to refer to 30-31 wheels in this thread). These comments...

Re: Restoring Ignition Coils

Hi, I am just asking questions. I have never tackled the job. I just have a box of bad original coils and am investigating what to do. It seems a shame to junk them.

Restoring Ignition Coils

Is it possible to restore original Model A ignition coils? Has anyone attempted doing it? My concern would be the tar or liquid inside (I have never taken one apart). If it is oil filled, is it...

Re: Original interior?

I am no expert, but I saw a 31 S/W 160A Fordor at the Toledo meet several years ago with a similar interior. The owner stated it was original and it usually caused consternation to the judges. Just...

Re: Aluminum windshields

I had two windshields that were perfect and I tried to sell them on this forum and our club swap meet. I had priced them high, then lowered the price to what I thought was an acceptable level. No...

Re: I'm in deep doo-doo

Just a thought: I had to fix one myself, so I took an old axle nut and sawed it in half, then clamped it to the axle threads with a vice grip and backed it off the axle. Naturally one should clean...
