OK--great news! Moved Fuel filter to between the pump and carb. Had carb redone and thankfully - problem solved. I could not see anything grossly wrong in the carb like a plugged jet but took it...

Nothing visible to me in the bowl/jets so Carb in the shop. I think I will move the fuel filter from before the fuel pump until between the pump and the carb.

Quick update: Started engine and sprayed carb cleaner down the DS barrel. Engine takes off like a rocket! Took the time to do a compression test and it seemed to pass that on all cylinders. ...
