Does the 1940 Pickup use the same bent wire from the wiper switch to the wiper motor as the passenger car, and does anyone know where I can get one?

No reputable shop is going to paint "over" a paint job in that poor shape. And you will find a "cheap" paint job will cost you more in the long run.

The way I heard it was Ford was friends with Edison and it was Edison that convinced Ford electricity flowed "better" through a positive ground. It was after the bigger V8's and higher compression...

Try removing those hubs without one and you will see how "reasonable" that price is! There is only one correct way to remove those drums without damaging them and this tool is it.

You could buy fenders in any color from Ford, I have a NOS rear fender for my 1936 Panel that is in green with the part number stenciled on the inside.
