In the March/April 2002 Restorer magazine is an article called "Leakless Pan Gasket by Frank Rosin. In the article he says to cut the rear rectangular cork seal exactly 7 11/16" for a "B" engine.

Smile Re: Radiator Overheating

I'm a proponent of using only a 10 fin/inch radiator and even though I live in northern Calif have never had a problem with overheating and that includes driving through Death Valley and I-80 through...

Re: Brassworks ‘28 Show Quality vs Active Driver?

Re: Fumes

Don't think anyone has mentioned this but having a gas leak in a garage can be a major problem if a source of ignition is there too like a hot water heater. Park it outside until the leak issue is...

Re: Radiator Recommendation

I always prefer a radiator with 10 fins/inch and no less. You won't regret it.

Re: Model A Roadster/Pheaton Security

We have put many miles on the roadster and spent many nights at motels and parking garages. Our security is a car cover thinking what is out of sight is out of mind. Nothing lost so far!

Re: Replace Radiator

For my money I would never buy a radiator with less than 10 fins per inch. But I live in N. Calif and the summers are pretty warm!!

Re: strong waterflow

For a real cheap and fast fix that might work, it looks like your overflow pipe is quite low in the radiator. Cut a short length of rubber hose and put it on the end of the overflow pipe to raise...

Re: Wanted a roadster

We have a 1930 Delux roadster and like it very much having put over 50K miles on it. Think the biggest difference is the look--the '28-9 looks more like a "old time car" whereas the 30-1 look "more...
