Re: NEW products available thread

Looks great, Michael. Every time I see stuff like this, it makes me regret not becoming a machinist.

Re: Old stock ?

Bearings are a funny thing. Standard would be good for those buying new cranks. Sometimes NOS bearings are stored poorly and they are no good.

Re: 49 Ford F1 project. What am I getting into?

If that is the case, I would go over everything for it seems like someone didn't know what they were doing.

Re: Ford GT 2018 $1125000 BJ just now

This. Yes, as someone said, electric may be even faster. I’m not saying that the Ecoboost doesn’t produce power, but a V6 in any form in a GT40 is kind of like a mustache on a beauty queen. It...

Re: Ford GT 2018 $1125000 BJ just now

Re: Ford GT 2018 $1125000 BJ just now

Did the 2018 GT-40's have the Ecoboost V6's that were totally tweaked for race or a V8?

I thought I read Ford used that Ecoboost V6 is some high dollar, exclusive build.

Edit: Quick Google...

Re: Getting paint inside boxed in areas?

Pete:

I've seen a number of multi-headed nozzles for sale on Instagram. I'm sure a Google search will turn up some as well. Maybe even Eastwood, Tip, etc. will have something as well.

Free + postage: 11" Ford truck pressure. Will need to be resurfaced. Picts to your phone, but it looks like a used pressure plate should. Will fit in a medium USPS flat rate box, so shipping is...

Re: flathead cam

Pete:

What would be the advantage of copper plating the end of the cam snout?

Re: Your most useless NOS parts

Service value? Hmmmmm, I'll gladly put into service your NOS wheel bearings and tie rod ends.

Re: Your most useless NOS parts

NOS bearings that were wrapped in cosmoline cloth. The cosmoline ate the bearing surface so they are junk, but can't give in and throw them out.

Re: Does Anyone Know What This Is?

If in NYC area, we still some decent talk radio stations around on the AM dial. That's if you can stand the static.

Re: Marvel Classic Motor Oil

MMO seems like a wonder product. Any chance we could start a clinical trial to see if it fixes COVID?

Re: Marvel Classic Motor Oil

Seriously asking: Is MMO the same thing as ATF? Smells and looks the same. I put a splash of cheap ATF in all my lawnmowers a few times a season. Never had issues with these little flatheads...

Re: Use of a Big 97 Stromberg Carb.

Charlie:

Interesting. I bought a manifold that had two Strombergs with this exact mod. 97 tops and bases and 48 center sections.

Re: Tradel Bishop AV8 question on a 30 -31 body

Are you sure about the F-1 mounts? The Mopar ones (which look similar, but have a flatten end) are different.
