I agreed both will work, hoping someone had experienced this and steer me clear if damages might occur.
The petroleum additive in both products will hopefully eat...

Flushing a steering box

What is best to flush a steering box with diesel or clear kerosene?

Oil drained & off car so I am able shake & flush several times to hopefully loosen up sludge.

Car is 1953 Customline

In my younger days I had a Concrete block crack & crush.
They are dangerous & I would replace with neatly cut Yellow pine blocks

Please don’t dally on this.

I use industrial strength Simple Green. Biodegradable & after 24 does a decent job of cutting grease. Smells decent too.
I have found a parts washer not much better than a large tub with small...

Since the shaft & bushing are both threaded I will not disassemble to take the measurements

They did not seems overly loose & if during Lube the grease comes out where the shaft turns...

53 Customline Front Upper Control arm clearances

1953 supplement indicates clearance to be .0007-.018 "upper arm inner shaft and bushing.
Which side is the clearance on outside as shown in the attached photo or inside under the seal?

Still struggling with upper arm outer where spindle attaches. Pictures...

1953 Customline Upper & Lower control arm seals.

Parts stripped to bare metal & painted
New seals purchased Dennis Carpenter.
Seals seem tight cannot install on the inside...

I agree plates under rear axle. Your second picture appears to have them installed

Perhaps these are spare or another vehicle

Solder or brazing likely better than JB weld. Although that is some tough stuff properly installed. Patched a lowerUnit on outboard Motor that lasted years in tough saltwater conditions.

Thanks to all. The flattened area on original bolts certainly fit very well around the axle casing which is not true round.

I used 90 weight oil from Napa in my manual transmission.
Thinking of a multi weight in the rear end. 90-140 as mentioned.
