Re: Radiator cap gets loose

I gave the ears a few taps with the hammer, seems to have tighten things up a bit.

Will do a test drive when it stops raining.

Thanks for the replies, I'm very happy with the car.

I do have a 1936 V8 trans that I've been thinking about swapping in with a kit from Cling's but I would like to figure out the stock trans...

Re: Bought a 1930 Coupe

Plates arrived yesterday, drove it to work today.
All went well but I must admit that I'm not a fan of the Model A transmission.

Extremely short 1st gear and no synchros will take some getting...

Re: Tillotson leaking fuel

Thanks for all the advice.

Ordered a correct fuel line with fittings and a gasket set for the Zenith from a Swedish dealer.

Gonna try and change the fuel line with fittings first and see if...

Tillotson leaking fuel

The Tillotson carb on my coupe is leaking fuel from the fuel inlet line.

I tried a quick fix with some "thread tape" (don't know what it's called in English) but still leaking.

Any better ideas...

Re: Bought a 1930 Coupe

Yesterday the coupe passed both title and safety inspection without any issues.
Plates and title will arrive during next week and then I can start driving.

Thanks.

Enkoping is only 40 minutes away from me.

Re: Bought a 1930 Coupe

Thanks, it's black.

I had a '28 Phaeton project before but had to sell it a while back to fund a kitchen restoration.

Also had a '53 Customline that I sold to fund this car.

Bought a 1930 Coupe

Sold my '53 Customline and bought a 1930 Coupe, waiting for it to be shipped from California to Sweden.

Running and driving car, I am very excited for it to arrive.

Re: My '53 Customline

It drives nice with the auto, no doubt.

I've just come to the conclusion that I prefer manual, couldn't know that before I tried an auto

Re: My '53 Customline

Thanks, I'm happy with how it looks but sometimes I sure wish it had a manual transmission instead of the Fordomatic.

I used those soapy steel wool pads and lots of water to get rid of the surface...

Re: 59A Flatty. A good candidate for rebuild? It's full of sludge!

You make great videos Mart.

This one makes me wanna dig into the '47 V8 that sits in my garage to see what hides inside.
